01What is NFEC?

The National Finance Economics Collective is a student-led organization expanding access to finance and economics education across the United States. We focus on immigrant and underserved youth, bringing practical financial skills into schools and communities.

02Who can attend a workshop?

Our workshops primarily serve K–12 students, especially middle school and junior high students. All are welcome to learn. Contact us to find the right format for your group.

03How much do your programs cost?

Our workshops and curriculum are free. Access to financial education should never depend on a student’s ability to pay.

04What will students learn?

Our curriculum covers three core areas: personal finance, investment finance, and economics. Lessons combine explanations, presentations, and hands-on activities.

05How do I bring a workshop to my school or organization?

Use the partnership form on this page or email team@nationalfec.org. Tell us about your students, location, and what you would like them to learn so we can discuss an in-person or virtual workshop.

06What does a workshop look like?

Core workshops typically last one to two hours and include presentations, discussion, and hands-on activities. More in-depth virtual courses run approximately six hours.

07Who teaches the workshops?

Our instructors are high school students with a strong foundation in finance and economics. They complete training to deliver our curriculum and bring their enthusiasm for the subject into every lesson.

08How can I volunteer?

We welcome motivated high school students from across the country. Use our team application to share your interests, whether you want to teach, develop curriculum, support outreach, or help build a local branch.

09Was NFEC previously called GDFEC?

Yes. We began as the Greater Dallas Finance Economics Collective. As our work expanded beyond the Dallas–Fort Worth area, our name changed to reflect our national reach. Our founding mission remains the same.
